Westminster travels to Caldwell, Idaho to participate in the Golden Rule Shootout. They open against Eastern Oregon on Friday, November 21 at 6:00 p.m. The trip concludes on Saturday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m. when they face tournament host, College of Idaho.

Westminster improved to 5-0 for the first time in school history thanks to a 74-48 win over Vanguard on Friday evening. The Griffins had four players reach double figures in extending the school record for wins to begin a season to five.

Westminster heads for Las Vegas, Nevada and two games against teams from the Golden State Athletic Conference. They open against Vanguard on Friday, November 14 at 6:00 p.m. The trip concludes with a 4:00 p.m. game on Saturday, November 15 against ninth-ranked Concordia (Calif.).

Westminster used a solid inside game to knock off 17th-ranked Azusa Pacific 83-69 on Saturday night. The 13th-ranked Westminster squad outscored Azusa Pacific 52-22 in the paint, led by 34 points from Geoff Payne.

Geoff Payne led all players with 15 points in helping Westminster to a 93-61 win over San Diego Christian on Friday night. Westminster opened the game on a 16-4 run and never looked back.

Westminster opens the 2008-09 home schedule with two games this weekend. On Friday, November 7, the Griffins battle San Diego Christian in the first game of the season for San Diego Christian.

Westminster had no problem with Golden State Baptist, claiming a 115-44 win on Saturday evening. Westminster jumped out to a 60-18 lead at the half behind great shooting and stellar defense.

The Griffins begin the 2008-09 season with a trip to Dillon, Montana for two neutral court games. The season opens on Friday, October 31 at 6:00 p.m. with a game against Dickinson State. That game is followed by a 4:00 p.m. game with Golden State Baptist on Saturday, November 1.
